Ecoyard

Ecoyard, a nature-based studio, is focusing on providing an opportunity for both local residences and international tourists to join our hand-guided workshops on papermaking arts and cultural cooking and baking. We will be utilizing local ingredients in all our activities as much as possible. The activities will take place outdoors whenever possible.

The idea behind is to give a chance to enjoy the Finnish Nature at the same time in its purity and quietness. After the workshop the participants can take back with them their own creations, as well as new skills and experiences!

We also provide a daytime venue and are happy to assist you in hosting your very special events and parties. We gladly provide a tailor-made course of papermaking or cultural cooking and baking for your group.

Overnight stays are also possible. We co-operate with Pinecrest Villa (www.pinecrest.fi), and are able to provide accommodation if needed.

Our studio is located at Pinecrest Villa on the island of Emäsalo, which belongs to the city of Porvoo in southern Finland. The distance from the bus station of Porvoo is only 14 km, and from the high-way interchange 8km. The access from Helsinki is less than an hour’s drive by car.

There are parking places for even a large number of cars. And if you prefer to come by boat, this is also possible as we are located next to the shipping lane to Porvoo, immediately after the Emäsalo bridge.
